Excellent article, however I did not have the WPF User Control Library as an available selection. I don't want to post links in the comments but if you Google "add a wpf control library" you'll get links to a way to do it with C#.NET, works the same.

That does indeed look like an awesome phone. I wish I had lots of money so I could change phone every 6 months or so. Seriously the stuff they come up with all the time! After 6 months your old phone just feels like an old, clunky thing that is unable to do anything properly. Sigh. At least I know what I need to look at when I REALLY need to change it!

Awesome article.

I've modified your code locally to use System.ComponentModel.DescriptionAttribute instead with no problems.

It's also handy to make your GetDisplayName() method public so you can convert values in code should you need to.

I had the same problem until I realized that I had left the Type Converter attribute off my enum:
